Pacific University Preservation Plan

Initially chartered as the Tualatin Academy in 1849, Pacific University is the second oldest college in Oregon. ARG completed a historic resource assessment (HRA) of the campus which involved a campus-wide historic context statement, design guidelines, and treatment parameters for all its historic buildings.

The HRA serves as an invaluable reference to Pacific University’s planning and maintenance staff in their ongoing stewardship of the campus’s many historic buildings. It received the 2019 Stewart Award from the Forest Grove Historic Landmarks Board.
