This Art Deco-styled, high-rise building is one of the most prominent historic buildings in downtown San Francisco. Designed by Timothy Ludwig Pflueger, the 28-story, medical and dental building was constructed in 1929.

ARG developed construction documents for both replacement of existing windows and stabilization and rehabilitation of the existing steel windows. The scope also included a complete survey of the terra-cotta cladding material. Based upon the survey, construction documents were prepared for restoration of the façade, including repair of existing and fabrication of new terra cotta to match the existing. Currently, a pilot project for installation of new windows is complete and another project for rehabilitation of existing windows is beginning. These pilot projects will provide information for phasing, scheduling, and the logistics of construction in occupied office spaces.
