Pasadena City Hall
City of Pasadena
Pasadena, California
Pasadena City Hall is the central feature of the
Civic Center that established Pasadena as a major cultural center
in the late 1920s. City Hall consists of a four-sided building
around a central garden courtyard. Completed in 1927, the approximately
190,000 GSF building is of reinforced-concrete construction
with stucco rendering, elaborate cast stone ornamentation, tile
roofs, and a massive six-story, domed tower.
ARG is serving as prime contractor for City Hall’s
seismic retrofit. A base isolation system will be installed, and
the facility will undergo upgrades to code compliance and accessibility,
in addition to other building and landscape improvements and restoration.
