Rehabilitation and Adaptive Reuse
Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, OR

A 19th Century fur trading outpost of the Hudson Bay Company, Fort Vancouver later served as a U.S. Army post for 150 years. The site is being transferred from the Army Reserve to the National Park Service (NPS). In anticipation of the transfer, ARG is guiding the temporary closure and rehabilitation of 28 historic buildings.....

ARG is leading the team, in association with Tom Eliot Fisch, that is completing the rehabilitation of the historic Berkeley North Branch Library and design of a much needed addition. On track for a LEED Silver rating, the design respects the building’s character and responds to the need for additional space for public activities that was identified in the Branch Libraries Facilities Master Plan.
